Zachariah Samuel is coming!!

Two weeks from this morning, Zachariah is scheduled to make his arrival. We are SO excited. Since Amy has spent 15 of the last 18 months pregnant, we figure it's about time to give her body a rest and bring a baby home. . .wait, do those two things go together? :) HA! Here is a little timeline of the past few months - as seen from the belly point of view. The first pictures is right before Mothers' Day. Amy is 20 1/2 weeks pregnant.

Zachariah is able to attend his very first Mariners' baseball game. He got to see the Mariners' blow the Cincinatti Reds out of the water starting with a grand slam by Raul Ibanez in the first inning. Amy is 27 weeks pregnant at this point.

Because Zachariah is SO cute already, he got to model in a Gap fashion show. Mom got to wear some great maternity clothes, like this dress, but dad had to wear a really nerdy outfit :) which consisted of gray plaid pants, a white button up shirt and a grey wool sweater vest :) ha! Amy is 33 weeks pregnant at this point.
Okay, we'll throw in this cute one of Tim in one of his modeling outfits for good measure. He wouldn't let Amy take a picture of the full get-up, so this is as good as it gets. :)
This is the belly today. . .two weeks until he gets here, which is probably good, seeing as there is NOT much room to grow. When you don't put on weight anywhere but on the belly, it's amazing how much you look like you swallowed a watermelon! Amy is 34 weeks 3 days pregnant here.
Thanks for taking the belly tour. Soon enough this blog will be full of actual baby pictures and not just belly bump pictures.

Samuel Hunter

On June 19th, 2006 Amy was 17 weeks pregnant and her water broke. She spent the next 12 weeks in the hospital hoping for the best for our first son. On September 9th, 2006, at 29 weeks pregnant, Samuel Hunter was born at 12:01p.m. He weighed 2 lbs. 9 oz. and was 15 3/8 inches long. Soon after birth, the doctors confirmed our worst fears - Samuel's lungs had failed to
develop properly because of the lack of fluid for so long during his development. Five hours after he was born, Samuel took his last breath and left our arms for the arms of Jesus. We will never forget Samuel and he will always hold a special place in our hearts. We would not trade the months on bedrest or anything else we have for those few short moments we had to hold him and tell him that we love him.
It was by far the hardest thing we have ever been through, but the support of each other and our friends and family helped us to deal with our grief and learn to move ahead, though again, not forgetting our first baby boy.
